Easter 2013

Easter weekend was great!  Now I'm trying (okay not so much) not to eat all of my candy!  I'm doing a "fit in 6" (as in 6 weeks) challenge with two of my sisters-in-law.  I'll blog about that later.  Our Easter celebrations started Friday night with our semi-annual sibling supper.  It was over at the Pugmire's.  We had an Easter egg hunt for the kids and a scavenger hunt for the adults.  As always, it was lots of fun even though half the Brandley siblings couldn't be there, and they were missed.
All the kids were matching and we didn't even plan it!

Saturday we met up with the Pugmire's to go see the Easter bunny at Lee's!  Avery loved it!  She wanted the Easter bunny to come with us and said to him, "Come on Easter bunny!"  After Lee's we went over to the Home and Garden Show.  We saw Joke who was working there and just walked around really quickly.  We saw the Easter bunny there again!  Avery was so excited and even got an Easter egg from him.  It's two days later and she's still saying "Oh thank you Easter bummy!" whenever she see's it.

We rushed through the Home and Garden show so we could get down to Ogden so I could meet up with Annette, Tifannee, and Kamila to go down to Salt Lake for the Young Women's Conference.  It was so much fun and all of the talks were amazing!  If you haven't had the chance to see it you can watch or listen to it here.  It was so wonderful to be there with all of the young women.  It's kind of weird because I still feel like I am a young women!  Then I think about it and I'm almost 24.  That's old.  Okay no it's not!  It feels like it though when you're around the young women!

We spent the night at my parent's house and went to church with them.  We wish we could have spent more time with them, but we are glad that we got to see them for a short time.

After their church we headed home because Louis had work that night.  When we got home, we did our own Easter baskets.  It was a lot of fun this year.  Avery totally got the Easter bunny this year and I wasn't expecting her to.  She got that the Easter bunny brought her an Easter basket and had fun looking for it!  Mary had fun looking through her basket too!

We had a wonderful Easter.  We are so very grateful for our Savior Jesus Christ and the love He has for each of us.  We are grateful for the atonement and that through Him we can all return to our Father in Heaven.
