So after we dropped John off at the MTC we went to In-N-Out burger there is a new one in Draper. It was a mad house in there!! The whole place was crowded, as you can see below! With all the people that we in there though it was surprising how fast we got our order! They are so efficient. They only have two registers there menu only consists of about 5 things. So it's easy to choose what you want and they can get your food out quick. So they have two people taking orders and two or three people that are constantly calling out numbers for people to come pick up their orders. (they go in a loop of 100) When we got there the number was at 72 or somewhere around that. And when we left they were back in the 70's! We were probably there for about 40 minutes or so. So in that 40 minutes they had approximately 100 orders. So let's say each order is $10 to 100 order $10 an order they made $1000.00! Not too shabby I would say. The burgers were delicious I loved the sauce they put on it. The fries were fantastic, I love good fries! and they had good lemonade that's another thing I love a good cup of lemonade! The workers were all really nice and friendly too. So all in all it was a good experience! I would definately go back. . .if it weren't in Draper. . .maybe they should build one up her, they would definately get a lot of business with all the college students!

all the crowds of people right when we walked in

Behind the counter, there were sooooo many workers crammed back there! You would have to make friends with everyone pretty fast to be that close to each other all day

And he's off!

Elder Keeffer
So we sent my brother John off to the MTC today! It seems like this day came really fast. Probably because I've been up in Logan and he's down in Ogden so I wasn't really hear for any of the preporation stuff. I came down yesterday to be there for his setting apart which was at 8:30. That went really well and there weren't even any tears shed, some teary eyes, but no tears yet. The next morning my mom made a breakfast for everyone. We had scones, cheesy scrambled eggs, and sausage. With my last brother we went out to eat before we dropped him off at the MTC but this time we decided to stay at home because we would be leaving at 11 to get to the MTC when he needed to be there. Breakfast was delicious of course with my mom cooking. After breakfast John finished some last minute stuff and then we took some pictures and everyone that wasn't coming to drop him off said goodbye.
It was only Mom, Dad, and I that went to drop him off at the MTC. We drove down to Provo and a little before Orem we stopped at a Wal*Mart because John needed a notebook and some pencils. So I went into Wal*Mart with him as his companion (I don't know if a sister can really count as your companion?) to go get his last minute things. I don't know if you all know this, but things at the Provo MTC have changed a little bit. You used to go in with your Elder for a little devotional type-ish thing and then at the end they would tell the missionaries to go out one door and the families to go out the other. It was a pretty emotional thing that would probably make the toughest guys cry. Well now you just drop your Elder off at the curb. . .literally. They have people directing you where to go and then you pull up to the curb unload the luggage and then you hug and then leave! This can be good and bad. Good because there's not way emotional part right as your entering the MTC and bad because you don't really get an official okay this is it, I'm out this door and my parents and family are going out the other. We were probably only parked on the curb all of 1 minute though which was crazy, but I know John is going to be awesome. He is such and amazing man and is always so happy and optimistic he's going to be a great missionary.
Every Christmas Eve for the past 4 years or so I would say John and I have watched The Santa Clause and How the Grinch Stole Christmas so I'm going to miss that a lot this year. We were going to try to do it before he left, but it just didn't work out with my work and his work and also with everything he had to do to get ready to leave. Even if John has been a pain in my butt sometimes as we were growing up together, he is a very sweet guy that I just haven't fully been able to appreciated. One of my favorite things about John is that he is ALWAYS happy, he's always positive and he's always a friend. What is your favorite thing about John or your favorite memory of him or what you're going to miss?

Tafton is really going to miss John I think

He is one of Tafton's favorite people!

Thanksgiving

So I'm sorry to say that this is the only picture I took on Thanksgiving! It's a good one though. Megan found this hat with a turkey on it for Tafton and he actually kept it on for most of the day! Thanksgiving was fun for us we spent lots of time with family. In the morning Louis went to play turkey bowl with his family, I decided to sleep in while he went to do this. John went to play with them though and when they came home I heard Louis telling John, "You're just too fast!" John told me that when he plays football with people who don't know him and don't know how fast he can run he likes to trick them. He goes to his quarter back and just says I can run really fast so I'm just going to sprint down the field and you throw it! And he says he usually gets a touchdown doing this. So they had a fun time playing football.
We didn't eat until 5 o'clock-ish this year because Ben Passey worked until 3 that day. So some of us spent our time waiting to eat downstairs watching the Goonies, very good movie! Dinner was delicious as always! I helped out a little by preparing the stuffing and cranberry sauce and starting the rolls. My dad did the turkey and it turned out great. We also had corn and squash and sweet potatoes (thanks again Sarina) and mashed potatoes and of course gravy. After we were all done eating we didn't have room for dessert so we waited a few hours before we had some pumpkin, mincemeat, peacon, and apple pie. Thanksgiving was teriffic and I was glad Louis and I could spend it with our family. Especially because John leaves in only 4 days now. His farewell is tomorrow so I'll probably do a post about that and just about John in general.
The day after Thanksgiving my mom and I went shopping
very.
early.
in.
the.
morning.
We were going to Shopko first and they opened at 5 in the morning so we planned on leaving at quarter to 5. We got there a little after 5 but still got everything that we wanted. And we were smart this year and checked out at the electronics check out and we were the third person in line. If we had gone in to the regular check out line we probably would have been around the 30th person in line or something around that. So we got in and out of Shopko pretty fast. After that we went to Target, the line there wasn't as nice we probably stood in line about 20 or so minutes. We also went to JCPenny and we went to the mall and checked out Sears and Dillard, but didn't get anything. We were out until about 10:30, sowe were out a very long time shopping! Louis also went shopping in the morning he woke up at 2:30 though! He had to be at his parents house by 3 o'clock so he could leave with his dad to do some shopping. He was done a long time before we were.
That afternoon we headed over to Liberty to go to a cabin. Every day after Thanksgiving Louis' mom's side of the family rent out a cabin and they spend the night. We weren't staying the night because I work today, maybe next year we'll get to. We had a good time. When we got there we all helped set up and unload cars and started cooking the food and played some games. There was a ping pong table and someone brought a tv and their playstation (I think it was Phillip) so there was a lot of boys crowded around the telvision! After all the food was done and everyone was there the feast began! There was a ton of food, i didn't have enough room on one plate! It was seriosly like a second Thanksgiving dinner! There was turkey and gravy and mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce and rolls and delicious gooey rolls and jello salad and pasta salad and A LOT of desserts! After we ate we just sat and talked and then we had a talent show! The talent show was probably my favorite part. There were a lot amazing talents from our family. I wished i knew everyone names, (I don't know if I ever will there's too many of them) but there was a 9 or 10 year old that played the piano amazing! There was also a little cousins that did some dance moves and two other cousins (Starlee and Jonathon) that are on the Weber State Institute folk dancing team and they did some of their dances that they will be performing Friday and Saturday. There was someone (Mike) who played the guitar and sang Adam Sandler's Hannukah song! It was great there were a lot of people singing along! We also had people sing (Shanna, Kelly, Shaylee, Jonathon, Celestial, Jake, Josh) and more people play the piano as well (Joel, and Jonathon) There was a lot more of talents shared and it was just a fun time. After the talent show they do an auction. Everyone brings something to auction off and all the proceeds go to the family member(s) that are out on their mission at the time. Right now the only person out is Shaun Hunt, he left August 19th I think, so I'm glad to know the money we spent at the auction went to a good cause! After the auction we went home, it was about 10 by now, I was so tired from waking up at 4:30 so I was glad to be on my way. Our holiday weekend went really well and we were glad to see so much family and have a good time with them! Sorry this is such a long post!

Update

Well right now Louis is doing this. . .
And I'm spending my time doing this. . .
So while that's being done I'm taking advantage of updating our blog. Lately I've just been working and trying to get our Christmas shopping done before you get the crazy shoppers out there after Thanksgiving. I'm pretty sure I have everything done for Louis and the rest of my family and now Louis and I just have to get the presents for his family.
Louis is still working his 40 hours at Schrieber's but usually ends up working a lot more hours than that! I've also been doing my 40 hours at America First. It's been going okay but lately has been getting a little busy, which I guess is a good thing right?! Other than work we've been staying inside bundled up because it's starting to snow and get pretty chilly outside!
Louis and I already decorated our house for Christmas! I know it's before Thanksgiving, but I love it, it makes me so happy to come home and see our tree all set up. We actually found our tree at the D.I. for $1o and it was in pretty good shape, we just had to buy a new tree stand which was only about 7 dollars. I'll try to remember to get some pictures of it so I can put them up here for Christmas.
My calling is going pretty well, I've enjoyed going to the activities every Tuesday. I haven't had to teach yet, we don't have a lot of Young Women that show up on Sundays so we are just combined every Sunday and take turns teaching. My first Sunday teaching will be the 20th I believe and I'll be teaching on Talents. I've started planning it a little bit and have found some good quotes and scriptures to use and I've thought of some good stories too. If anyone has some ideas though pretty please share them with me I would appreciate it a lot. I found how grateful I am for my mom after I got this calling. When she was an advisor for Young Womens she gave us all a folder to keep all of our papers and stories and quotes that we got in our lessons. I was looking through it the other day and I found how much I have and how much it's going to help me as I'm teaching. Louis hasn't gone to the nursery yet for his calling, but his first week will be tomorrow! So I'll have to let everyone know what he thinks of it. I think he will actually like it, he likes to have fun with kids so I think all of the nursery kids will like him and have some fun with him.
We have a lot of things coming up in the next little while, today is my brother John's birthday he is turning 19 and leaving for the MTC in about two weeks! It's crazy how fast this has gone by and I feel bad because I'm not really around to spend this time with him before he leaves. Today is also Louis's cousins birthdays Katie and Kassie they are turning 21 and they have a big party tonight to celebrate that we're going to. Tomorrow is my mom's birthday we unfortunately won't be there to celebrate but we gave her a present today. Next week is Thanksgiving and we're going to have a lot of fun, playing Turkey Bowl and eating delicous Thanksgiving food and of course the day after Thanksgiving shopping!
Well that's all for now, I hope everyone has a good weekend and that you all go to church tomorrow and enjoy yourself! Here's a few pictutres of us lately, enjoy!

It wasn't coming down too bad yet.

Another New Calling

So Louis the other day got a call from someone in our bishopric asking if he could come over to our house Sunday to talk to him. (Sound familiar??) So Sunday morning rolled around and our doorbell rang. I was not appropriate yet so Louis went to answer the door as I hid in our room listening through the door. Well I'm sure you know where this is going. . .Louis got extended a calling. He is going to be a nursery worker! Louis is actually really looking forward to it, he thinks it's going to be the best calling ever. You get to play with kids and eat snacks and when they're crying or have a full diaper you take them to their parents! We'll see how he feels about it in a month or so
