Spring Tea Party

My girls love any reason to celebrate so I had the idea to have a cute little tea party to celebrate spring time coming!  We wore flowery dresses, put a nice tablecloth on the table and used fancy plates and cups.  We had pink lemonade, sandwiches cut into the shape of a flower, cheese cut into the shape of a butterfly, and grapes.  It was cute and fun and we all loved it!
In Mary's words "This is the best tea party ever!"
Possibly a new tradition in the making!

We were at the D.I. at the end of February and I found some nice looking picture frames that I thought would
make up a nice gallery wall for our dining room.  With new frames I wanted new pictures!
Louis' wonderful sister Tifannee is always so willing to take pictures for us and she does such a great job.

Up to Boise With Louis

The week after Valentine's day Louis randomly suggested that we go up to Boise, just the  two of us, to visit my grandparents.  It was totally spur of the moment and Louis' Mom was so wonderful to watch our children last minute.
Louis and I started out by going to the Boise temple to do initiatory.  We weren't together in the temple and when I was done with initiatory the Sister's asked if I wanted to go to the Celestial Room.  They said that they would send a message to Louis so he would meet me there when he was done.  Well it turned out that Louis was already done so he never got the message!  He ended up waiting about an hour for me to get out!  I kept waiting in the Celestial Room "just a few more minutes" waiting for Louis to come in.  Finally I decided to leave and found Louis in the waiting area.
He had multiple temple workers come ask if everything was okay or if he wanted them to go find his bride.
Whoops!  I had a nice relaxing time in the Celestial Room though.

We then went and visited with my grandparents.  They've moved into a assisted living home and Louis and I had not been to visit them since they've been there.  We talked and decided to go to Marie Callenders to eat dinner.  Louis and I had never been there before and we were not disappointed.  After dinner we headed back to my grandparent's.  We had a really great time talking and learning things about my grandparents that we didn't know before.
The next day we found a church to go to in the morning then headed back to my grandparent's and had lunch with them.  Then we talked for a little bit longer and headed home.  It was a short, but wonderful mini trip together.

Christmas 2016

Oh hey!  I never blogged about Christmas. I don't want to go into detail about everything we did because it's now almost 2 months later.  Instead I will post pictures!

Sometimes it's easier to get them all to make a silly face
instead of getting them all to smile.

We had a great Christmas season,  Louis did work a lot, which is normal for that time of year,
but we were able to squeeze in a few fun family activities throughout the season as well.

Ethan Buddy Boy Turns 2!

This is long overdue!  Since Chatbooks came about I've post more on Instagram than on the blog.  It's faster and easier!  I still like the blog though to go into more detail about the bigger events of our family life!

Our cute and sweet Ethan turned TWO last month!  He is getting so big and starting to talk more and understand more.  He is a huge Mama's boy.  HUGE.  It can get overwhelming and exhausting, but most of the time I love it.  He loves trains, Paw Patrol, reading books, cars, eating, his binky and blanket, and his siblings.

For Ethan's birthday we invited our families over for cake.  A few people were able to come, but it happened to be at the same time as another family event, so not as many people were able to come because of that.  We had fun talking and playing, and had some yummy Paw Patrol themed cake.

He was eating his cupcake with the cupcake topper!

Ethan's favorite birthday present was this car track I got him.  He would seriously play with it for a good 20-30 minutes straight.  The only problem was it play this super annoying, loud, 10 second song on repeat and there was no way to turn the song off or even the volume down.  So it's back in it's box for a while and up in the closet.  I needed a break from it.  If you're looking for a fun, but annoying toy, here's the link.
We love Ethan and are so very happy that he is a part of our family!
How could we not be with that cute face?
